When you go to the event, you’ll get a chance to experience art like you haven’t before, and it’s a free festival for everyone to enjoy! The festival will take place from January 26 to February 4.

Artists set to light up the inaugural event include Mattar Bin Lahej, known for the design of the calligraphic facade of the Museum of the Future; the pioneer artist Dr Najat Makki, holder of the title of French Knight of Arts and Letters; the co-founder of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, Dr Mohamed Yousef; the designer Abdulla Almulla, who participated in the London Design Biennale last year, the multidisciplinary artist Maitha Hamdan, the famous designer Khalid Al Shafar, renowned for its collaboration with the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the famous visual artist Reem Al Ghaith.

Meanwhile, the iconic 130-meter-wide dome of Al Wasl Plaza comes to life with a series of special projections titled Desert Sisters inspired by the Emirati artist Dhabia Juma Lamlah, who produced more than 200 remarkable works despite his inability to use his right hand. Reflecting Dubai’s spirit of multicultural collaboration, the show also features special guests: Australian artist Rene Kulitja and the South African artist Dr. Esther Mahlangu which together weave a narrative of resilience and cross-cultural connectivity.

Dhai Dubai also supports the Liter of Light initiative, a global grassroots movement, to provide high-quality solar lighting to people without access to electricity in floating houses in Agusan Swamp in the Philippines. Festival visitors can also pledge to support Liter of Light’s mission with other communities in the Philippines, Kenya, Cameroon, and India. You can sign up to receive the latest updates at their website

Experience the unity of true talent and art, and join Dhai Dubai in shining a light of hope in disadvantaged communities as we appreciate and promote light artists.
