Kathy Ireland to be honored with Grit & Grace Nation’s Living Legend Award at March 1 event

Fanchon Stinger, founder of Grit & Grace Nation, and Kathy Ireland, have partnered to address the increasing rates of depression and anxiety in America’s youth. Stinger initiated Grit & Grace in 2021 to support mental health for young women all around America. This program provides an online leadership academy, in-person chapters, and scholarships for young women to enable personal and professional development.

Ireland is receiving the Living Legend Award for her outstanding leadership as one of America’s most successful self-made women. She has explored the topic of anxiety and mental health among youth through the documentary “Anxious Nation,” which received various accolades and premiered to a 4-star review at film festivals throughout the country.

The initiative aims to equip young women with tools and interpersonal skills to handle life’s challenges. A virtual Grit & Grace Leadership Academy has been launched this school year. This leadership program is designed to help ladies develop confidence and serve as leaders through a virtual platform to increase accessibility and impact. In-person chapter gatherings are being held in Indiana and Oklahoma, and the initiative plans to expand to additional locations in 2024.

Additionally, Grit & Grace Nation offers financial support to students through its scholarship program which aims to award $10,000 scholarships to two young women every year. Interested participants can submit a video before February 10, 2024.

The program hosts various events including the second annual Grit & Grace Celebrity Gala and Fundraiser and aims to encourage involvement from the community. For more information about the organization, visit their website at https://thegritandgracenation.org/.
