Senior Helpers Growth: New Services & Waud Capital Future

Senior Helpers, a leading home care company with over 380 franchise locations in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, has found a new home under the ownership of Waud Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm. The acquisition came after Senior Helpers was sold by Advocate Aurora Health, which acquired the company three years ago. Though the purchase price was not disclosed, the decision to sell was made following Advocate Aurora’s merger with Atrium Health.

Under the new ownership, Senior Helpers will continue to maintain a relationship with Advocate Aurora, focusing on collaboration with the health system’s care teams in various markets. Senior Helpers CEO, Peter Ross, noted that while the company’s time with Advocate Aurora was valuable, they are excited for the next chapter with Waud Capital. With Waud Capital’s background in the post-acute care sector and focus on healthcare, Senior Helpers sees opportunities for growth and expansion into new service lines.

Waud Capital’s portfolio includes companies like Concierge Home Care, CarePoint Partners, and PromptCare, indicating their expertise in the healthcare industry. Ross highlighted the firm’s commitment to providing resources and capital to support Senior Helpers’ growth and explore new business opportunities. Despite the transitions in ownership, Senior Helpers remains one of the largest franchise companies in the home care space, ranking #172 on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list.

With a history of significant growth and multiple acquisitions, Senior Helpers is optimistic about the future under Waud Capital’s ownership. The company’s focus on delivering high-quality care and expanding its services aligns well with Waud Capital’s strategic vision. Ross emphasized the enthusiasm and energy within the Senior Helpers team for this new chapter, looking forward to the possibilities for further development and success.

As Senior Helpers embarks on this new journey with Waud Capital, the company remains committed to its mission of providing exceptional care to clients and supporting the broader healthcare ecosystem. The strategic partnership between Senior Helpers and Waud Capital signals an exciting period of growth and innovation in the home care industry, paving the way for enhanced services and expanded opportunities for the company’s franchise locations.
