Brenden Rice of USC Drafted by LA Chargers in 2024 NFL Draft

USC wide receiver Brenden Rice was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers as the fifth pick of the seventh round (225th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. This makes him the 528th all-time NFL draftee from USC, maintaining their position as second behind Notre Dame for most NFL Draft picks all-time. Rice’s impressive senior season in 2023 saw him record 45 receptions for 791 yards, with a team-leading 12 touchdowns. He earned a spot on the All-Pac-12 Second Team and finished the regular season ranked seventh in the nation for receiving touchdowns.

Prior to joining USC, Rice had a successful career as one of the top wide receivers and kick returners in the Pac-12 while playing for Colorado in 2021 and 2022. His performance on the field, combined with his academic achievements, earned him accolades and recognition within the football community.
