CoastHills Credit Union Collaborates with iGrad to Provide Enrich Personalized Financial Wellness Program to 72,000 Members

CoastHills Credit Union, based in San Diego, CA, has recently partnered with financial education company, iGrad, to provide their award-winning Enrich™ financial wellness platform to all 72,000 of its members in California’s Central Coast. This is a significant development for the credit union as it aims to improve the financial well-being of its members and the broader community.

The Enrich platform offers a personalized financial wellness program that includes the Your Money PersonalityTM financial behavior assessment, which provides users with a detailed analysis of their financial habits. In addition, the platform features a wide range of financial education courses with personalized action plans covering topics such as budgeting, mortgages, healthcare, college savings, student loan repayment, banking, credit, and financial planning. Furthermore, the platform also includes retirement and home affordability analyzers, student loan and higher education tools, personal finance calculators, and a real-time budget tool.

Carolyn White, Vice President of Education and Communication at CoastHills, emphasized the importance of high-quality personal finance education in addressing economic and social concerns within their community. The partnership with Enrich allows CoastHills to offer easy-to-use financial education tools that will contribute to the financial wellness of their members and the entire Central Coast of California.

The Enrich platform, which is used by more than 20,000 employers and 300 financial institutions nationwide, leverages artificial intelligence technology to engage users with personalized and relevant content based on their financial situation and stage of life. The platform also offers dynamic tools and courses, providing a highly interactive and personalized learning experience on various financial topics, including student debt, mortgages, budgeting, investing, retirement, and long-term care.

Research from a 2021 Capital One CreditWise survey revealed that 73 percent of Americans consider their finances as the most significant source of stress. In response to this, Enrich prompts users to regularly update their stress score to measure the correlation between improved financial wellness and stress levels. Recent data from Enrich showed that as participants improved their financial understanding, their stress levels dropped by an average of 23 percent. Additionally, positive behavior changes included an increase in emergency savings funds, full payment of credit cards, progress towards financial goals, and contributions to retirement plans.

Tim Delaney, iGrad’s Vice President of Business Development for Enrich, highlighted the platform’s ability to assist individuals of all income levels and life stages. He praised CoastHills Credit Union for recognizing the importance of behavior-changing financial wellness education by offering Enrich to their more than 70,000 members.

iGrad, the San Diego-based financial technology company behind the Enrich platform, has been recognized for its contributions to improving the financial health and security of Americans. Their Your Money Personality™ program was honored with the 2020 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Adults’ Education Program of the Year award by the Institute for Financial Literacy. iGrad is also one of the 2020 honorees of the Barron’s Celebrates: Financial Empowerment and received the 2019 Eddy Award for Financial Wellness by Pensions & Investments for its Enrich platform.
