Contract awarded for modernizing Canadian Logistics Vehicles

In a recent development, General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) and Marshall Canada have been awarded a substantial contract worth $2.58 billion Canadian to supply new light and heavy logistics vehicles to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This contract includes the delivery of over 1,000 light trucks and approximately 500 heavy trucks, along with associated equipment like armored protection kits, modules, containers, and trailers.

The Logistics Vehicle Modernization (LVM) project is split into two contracts: one for vehicle acquisition valued at $1.5 billion CAD and one for in-service support valued at up to $1.08 billion CAD over 25 years, including taxes. General Dynamics Land Systems, in partnership with Marshall Canada, will be responsible for the integration and support services for the duration of the project. The team also includes Mercedes‐Benz (Daimler Trucks), Soframe, and Manac, Inc., to ensure the delivery of unique and reliable capability to the Canadian Army.
