In celebration of the 50th anniversary of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, The U.S. Postal Service is set to release commemorative stamps at the Gen Con Indy 2024 gaming convention. This iconic game, known as The World’s Greatest Role-Playing Game, has captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world since its debut in 1974.
The unveiling of the stamps will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. EDT. The event will also feature activities and retail sales in two locations – at Lucas Oil Stadium during the Gen Con Indy convention and at the Indianapolis Main Post Office.
Designed by Greg Breeding, the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS stamps will be available for purchase as Forever stamps, always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate. Fans can also find officially licensed stamp products on Amazon or at Post Office locations nationwide.
For those unable to attend Gen Con Indy, the Indianapolis Main Post Office will have retail sales and cancelations available on August 1 for collectors and enthusiasts. Additionally, Greg Breeding will be present for autographs following the stamp unveiling at Lucas Oil Stadium.
