Former President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Her Excellency Ambassador María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, to Participate in World Sustainability Forum

Former President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Ambassador María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, has recently joined the Board of Patrons of the World Sustainability Forum. Her new role as a patron and ambassador for the Forum signifies her commitment to advancing multilateralism and advocating for specific recommendations to global organizations such as the United Nations.

Dr. Kenneth Stokes, President of the World Sustainability Forum, expressed his delight at Ambassador Espinosa’s decision to bring her expertise to assist in advancing the Forum’s mission. In response to her new appointment, Ambassador Espinosa stated, “I strongly believe that the main crisis of our time requires multilateral solutions and concerted global action with specific responses from specific institutions. I welcome the opportunity to contribute to the Forum’s discussion on the future of multilateralism.”

Ambassador Espinosa’s extensive professional experience in academia, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and high-level government positions, including serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs and as the first female Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the United Nations, makes her a valuable addition to the Forum’s leadership.
