Stephen Hightower, CEO of Hightowers Petroleum Company and Hightower EV Solutions, has been invited to attend the Communities in Action: Building a Better Ohio event at the White House next week. This half-day forum will highlight the Administration’s federal investments and the impact on communities across Ohio.
Hightower is excited to share with Washington the economic potential for Butler County and how the American Rescue Plan Act and the Inflation Reduction Act affect the business community. He believes that Ohio will continue to be a leader in the expansion of electric vehicle manufacturing and infrastructure. At Hightowers, they are making investments in renewable fuels, carbon reduction, and offering EV solutions to their customers.
The bipartisan Inflation Reduction Act offers Ohioans expanded tax credits for energy-efficient commercial buildings, new energy-efficient homes, and EV charging infrastructure. Hightower’s customers like GM, Ford, Nissan, FedEx, UPS, and others are starting to make significant investments in Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs).
Hightower EV Solutions is a national developer, technology integrator, and design builder of turnkey EV charging infrastructure projects. They have the ability to execute projects throughout the United States and provide enterprise-level solutions. In addition to their EV solutions, Hightowers Petroleum Company recently announced their 100% renewable diesel partnership with NESTE. This renewable diesel is a high-quality, high-performance fuel that offers a more sustainable alternative to fossil diesel, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 75% when compared with fossil diesel.
Beyond their business endeavors, the Hightower family is deeply rooted in Middletown, Ohio. They are currently focused on the revitalization of the Robert Sonny Hill Community Center in Middletown. The project received funding from various sources, including Middletown City Schools, the city of Middletown, and Butler County Board of Commissioners.
The revitalization project aims to create a family-friendly facility for the community, with a preschool campus that will provide greater access to high-quality programming and prepare children for a successful educational journey. In addition, the project aligns with the district’s vision to restore lost education from the pandemic and prepare residents for emerging industries.
Another beneficiary of the American Rescue Plan Act funds is Butler Tech, a local career technical school that will receive $15 million to create a workforce pipeline to advanced aviation and manufacturing, including an expanded facility at the Middletown Regional Airport. This initiative aims to prepare students for future job opportunities in emerging industries.
Overall, Stephen Hightower’s vision to bring education, technology, and a comprehensive all-inclusive energy ecosystem to Ohio is made possible by the Administration’s policies to deliver funds to the state. He actively serves on the board for the National Petroleum Council, The Fuels Institute, The Electrical Vehicle Council, and API.
