Inescapable Exit, Possible Franchise Revival

Jeremy Renner shares his reasons for stepping away from the Mission: Impossible franchise to be with his daughter and expresses his openness to returning now that she is older. Renner debuted in Ghost Protocol in 2011 and returned for Rogue Nation in 2015, both films being successful both critically and at the box office. He expressed his love for the Mission: Impossible team and his character, indicating that he would gladly reprise his role as Brandt in the future.

Renner’s portrayal of William Brandt in Ghost Protocol was well-received by audiences and critics alike, with the film grossing $694 million globally. In Rogue Nation, his character was transferred to the CIA as the team faced off against The Syndicate, another successful entry in the franchise that grossed $683 million worldwide.

After focusing on other projects, including joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hawkeye, Renner is gearing up for his return to acting with the third season of Mayor of Kingstown. The actor suffered serious injuries in a snowplow accident but is now ready to make a comeback on the Paramount+ series.

With Mission: Impossible 8 scheduled for release in 2025, fans may see Renner back in action as Brandt once again. His willingness to return to the franchise shows his dedication to the character and the team behind the Mission films. Stay tuned for more updates on Jeremy Renner’s future projects and possible return to the Mission: Impossible franchise in the coming years.
