On Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Texas Rangers 8-4, with Hunter Greene dominating the Rangers with only one hit allowed over seven scoreless innings. Jonathan India also had a standout performance, hitting a home run and driving in four runs on a four-hit afternoon.

Greene, with a record of 1-2, demonstrated his skill on the mound by striking out six batters and issuing just one walk. He threw 63 strikes out of his 98 pitches. Despite a strong performance from reliever Brent Suter in the eighth inning, allowing no hits, the Rangers managed to score four runs in the ninth inning, including back-to-back home runs from Davis Wendzel and Corey Seager. Puerto Rican pitcher Alexis Diaz came in to secure the final two outs and earned his sixth save of the season.

Michael Lorenzen, the Rangers’ starting pitcher, struggled against his former team, giving up five runs and six hits in his outing. Despite the loss, Dominican outfielder Leody Taveras had a solid performance for the Rangers, going 1-for-3 with a run scored.
