Meadows Bank Announces New CEO and Leadership Promotions
Las Vegas, NV, August 16, 2023 — Meadows Bank is thrilled to announce the appointment of Chris Swendseid as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Chris, who previously served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since the Bank’s establishment in 2008, is taking over the position following the retirement of Arvind Menon earlier this year.
William J. Bullard, Chairman of the Board, expressed his confidence in Chris, stating, “Chris has been a critical co-captain for years, involved in every aspect of the Bank’s successful navigation. We are fortunate to have him continue as a leader and fiduciary to all of our investors, clients, and employees.”
Chris began his banking career in Reno, serving in various roles within the investment, accounting, and finance areas before relocating to the Las Vegas valley in 1999 to serve as the CFO of a start-up community bank. He then joined the Meadows Bank-in-organization team in 2007.
In addition to Chris’s appointment, Julie Brutch has been promoted to Chief Lending Officer (CLO) from her previous position of Executive Vice President/Senior Lending Officer. Julie, who joined Meadows Bank in 2008, has an extensive background in finance, including graduating from UNLV in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and graduating from Pacific Coast Banking School in 2010.
Moreover, Diane York has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Diane, who has been with Meadows Bank since June 2019 in the role of Controller, brings with her a wealth of experience from previous positions with Smile Brands, Inc., Gaikai (PlayStation), and Hein & Associates and RSM McGladrey.
Commenting on Julie and Diane’s promotions, Chris stated, “We are fortunate to have a senior banking professional with Julie’s skill set and experience to strengthen and lead our lending efforts. Diane’s experience and financial diligence make her the right choice to lead our finance and operations teams.”
