Mystik Dan Clinches Victory

The 150th Kentucky Derby was filled with excitement as Mystik Dan, with 16-1 odds, emerged as the 2024 Kentucky Derby winner. The race, known as the greatest two minutes in sports, took place at Churchill Downs and saw Mystik Dan beat out competitors Sierra Leone and Forever Young to claim the victory.

Mystik Dan, trained by Kenny McPeek and owned by Lance Gasaway, 4 G Racing (Brent Gasaway), and Daniel Hamby, was guided to victory by jockey Brian Hernandez Jr. This win marked Hernandez Jr.’s first victory at the Kentucky Derby, and Mystik Dan’s career earnings received a significant boost as a result.
