The New York State Boxing Hall of Fame has announced its 16-member Class of 2024, with Geneva’s Ralph “Rocky” Fratto being one of the honorees. Fratto, a former NABF Super Welterweight champion, WBA title challenger, and All-Army and Inter-Service champion, received praise from fellow boxer Ray Ciancaglini, who commended his accomplishments both in and out of the ring. Fratto’s professional boxing career lasted from 1976-1986, during which he achieved a record of 28-4 with nine knockouts. Fratto was ranked as the top junior middleweight in the US and the second-best globally by the WBA. His highlights include winning the NABF Super Welterweight title in 1981 and sparring with middleweight champion Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
