Sonesta signs 15 franchise deals in Q1

Sonesta International Hotels Corp. experienced significant growth in the first quarter of 2024, executing approximately 15 franchise agreements across multiple brands, adding over 1,900 keys to their portfolio. The company’s executive team, including Keith Pierce, Brian Quinn, Jordan Langlois, and Chris Trick, highlighted this success at the 35th Annual AAHOA Convention & Trade Show in Orlando.

These franchise agreements demonstrate Sonesta’s momentum and commitment to expanding its market presence. Keith Pierce, the executive vice president and president of franchise and development at Sonesta, emphasized the company’s fast, friendly, and flexible approach to working with franchisees, ensuring a seamless conversion process and maximizing ROI for owners who choose to rebrand their properties under Sonesta’s umbrella.

Among the various brands included in these agreements are The James, Sonesta ES Suites, Sonesta Essential, Americas Best Value Inn, Red Lion Hotels, Red Lion Inn & Suites, and Sonesta Hotels & Resorts. This diversity allows hotel owners to choose the best fit for their property within the upper upscale, lifestyle, upscale, midscale, extended-stay, and premium economy segments.

Brian Quinn, the chief development officer at Sonesta, highlighted the company’s unique position in the hospitality industry, offering owners the benefits of Sonesta’s extensive experience in hotel ownership and operations. By focusing on developing trusted relationships with franchisees and positioning them for success, Sonesta continues to attract owners looking for a conversion option that sets them apart from larger competitors.
